By accessing or using RatedStylist, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our platform. Your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any updates to these terms.

2. Description of Service

RatedStylist is a UK-based online marketplace connecting clients with hair, beauty, and wellness professionals. We provide a platform for clients to discover salons, read verified reviews, check real-time availability, and make bookings. RatedStylist does not employ the stylists or operate the salons listed on our platform. We act solely as a technology intermediary.

3. User Accounts

You must be 18 years of age or older to register for an account on RatedStylist. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. RatedStylist reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

4. Booking & Cancellation

Bookings made through RatedStylist are subject to the availability and confirmation by individual salons. Cancellation policies are set independently by each salon and displayed prior to booking. We strongly recommend cancelling at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees. RatedStylist is not responsible for disputes arising from late cancellations governed by a salon's own policy.

5. Payments

All payments on RatedStylist are processed securely via Stripe, our authorised payment processing partner. Prices shown on the platform include VAT where applicable. Refund eligibility is determined by the individual salon's refund policy, which is presented at the time of booking. RatedStylist may facilitate refund requests but ultimate approval rests with the salon.

6. Reviews

Reviews on RatedStylist must originate from verified bookings. We reserve the right to remove, edit, or decline to publish any review that we determine to be fraudulent, abusive, defamatory, or in violation of these terms. Users who submit false reviews may have their accounts suspended. Reviews are the opinions of individual users and do not represent the views of RatedStylist.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, design elements, trademarks, and software on RatedStylist are the exclusive property of RatedStylist Ltd or our licensed partners. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of our platform without prior written consent. User-submitted content (such as reviews and profile photos) remains owned by the user but you grant us a worldwide licence to use it in connection with the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

RatedStylist acts as an intermediary marketplace and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by salons listed on our platform. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RatedStylist shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to RatedStylist in the preceding 12 months.
